T-Virus and Antidote (Resident Evil shots)
2 oz Blue Curacao
1/4 tsp Agar powder
1 1/2 oz Citrus vodka
2 oz Midori
1/4 tsp Agar powder
1 1/2 oz Citrus vodka
Silicon tubing that fits the syringe (1 ft. minimum)
Glass of ice water
Tall shot glasses
Directions: This recipe is for those who like the previous T-Virus and Antidote shots, but want to wow your guests with something a bit more complicated. In a pan, bring the blue curacao or Midori to almost a boil. Remove it from the heat and mix in the agar powder with a spoon or spatula. Suck the liquid into the syringe and inject it into the tubing. Submerge the tubing into the glass of ice water and wait around 5 minutes for it to solidify. After about 5 minutes, remove the tubing from the water. To remove the newly solidified gel from the tube, fill your syringe with air and use the air to push the gel out. Cut the gel strings into the appropriate length for your shot glass. Carefully wrap the gel around the inside of your shot glass and slowly pour in citrus vodka. Serve, infect, and heal.
In prose, the worst thing one can do with words is surrender to them. When you think of a concrete object, you think wordlessly, and then, if you want to describe the thing you have been visualizing you probably hunt about until you find the exact words that seem to fit it. When you think of…
Today would have been Mr Rogers’ 84th birthday. Thanks for showing me how to rock a cardigan and always been a kind neighbor.
one time some dudes stole mr. rogers’s car, and it got into the news, like you’d expect
the next day the car was back where he’d left it with a note that said “we’re so sorry, we never would’ve taken it if we’d known it was yours”
I like to think they recognized this as a sign from god and turned their lives around
another true story: mr. rogers lobbied in favor of vcrs back when the tv and movie industries were against them, because he wanted families to be able to record shows and watch them together
he was always, always thinking about children, letting them know it’s okay to be sad or scared or mad and how to deal with it, letting them know there’s at least one person in the world who loves them just the way they are
and no matter who you were, no matter why you crossed his path, he wanted to know about your life and understand you and be your friend
I believe he is a for-real saint and I wish I could be more like him but it’s okay, I know he loves me just the way I am
Another true story: one time he received a letter from a blind girl who mentioned that she gets nervous sometimes that he’d forget to feed the fish. From that moment on, he made some comment outloud about how he was feeding the fish so she and any other blind viewers would know that he hadn’t forgotten.
Always reblog Mr. Rogers.
i’m actually crying you don’t understand
I know Rule #1 of Tumblr is to always reblog the photo of the creator but I think it’s time for rule 1.2: Always reblog Mr. Rogers.
I love him.

Pakistani children light candles to pay tribute to Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting victims in southern Pakistani port city of Karachi on Dec. 15, 2012.
This will never be on the news. But how awesome of this picture to see some light.
@mystiquetoile show this to the dude whining on your fb page
this breaks my heart
not because of the extraordinary show of humanity
but because these kids are showing empathy for people who never stop to think about them
One small thing that gives me hope for this world.
I watched them point and stare as the old man lay shivering in a ball just outside the subway doors. Dirt encrusted his earlobes and ungloved fingertips and he was crying. Some commuters began to yell at him to move. It was the kind of cold and angry rush hour when humanity is lost in the stomping…
I wish I could say this to you.
